>HACK.Fem.EAST< is an experimental, cutting-edge project based around female artists and activists from Eastern Europe and promotes women, technology and networking. The project is formed from an already-existing network based out of 12 Eastern European countries, in collaboration with >Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien<. It will consist of an exhibition, an opening, a conference, a newspaper publication and a website, all running with the main themes of media, art and hacking. The opening is on May 9, and the exhibition runs between May 10 and June 22. The conference will take place on May 10 and 11 and will consist of talks, film screenings and performances.  All events are hosted at Kunstraum Kreuzberg. There will also be an online radio broadcast consisting of discussions, talks and interviews, airing between May 5 and May 11, at >www.hackfemeast.org<.
