For the third year in a row, the Berlin U-Bahn will be transformed into a runway for the opening of Berlin Fashion Week Spring Summer 2009.  Young, independent designers and labels will show their new collections on the world’s only moving runway, which will be hosted in an U-Bahn train.  The show will begin at the platform of the U5 line at the Alexanderplatz train station at 8 pm on July 17, and boarding to the train will be at 8:30.  Special guests, the Jägermeister Wild Girls, will open the show with their Burlesque show for the public on the catwalk.  The fashion show itself will feature the ‘rock and roll’ models from Rockstar Models, presenting everything from rock, urban, punk, gothic and street fashions.  There are 150 tickets available to the public, and they are available on the website for the >Underground Catwalk<.
