At the same time as relocating to their new premises in Unter den Linden 32-34, the >Schering Stiftung< is finally opening its new and long anticipated exhibition. Venue for showroom, workshops and lectures the premise is accessible to the public and can be considered an interdisciplinary and experimental crossroads for arts and science. To promote its dedication to sustaining artists and their works, Schering will host the new work by Carsten Nicolai named “rota”. His work is an experiment that artistically interlaces aspects of neurology and design, exploring the implications and influence so called “Neurofeedbacks” have on human perception and allows the viewer to experience first hand what happens to the brain when it reacts to visual and acoustic impulses. Nocolai’s “rota” is an assignment given to him specifically by the Schering Stiftung and will be displayed until September 26th. The exhibition will utilize strobe light, therefore epileptics are kindly asked to reconsider.
