Since its inception in 2000 in Oranienburer Stasse 36-36 (former royal post office building), >C/O Berlin<, International Forum for Visual Diologues has made quite the name for itself. The founding trio of artistic entrepreneurs – photographer Stephan Erfurt, designer Marc Naroska and architect Ingo Patt – created an ideal safe haven for presenting a cultural program of international stature and quality. Its not a surprise C/O Berlin will host world-famous photographers “Pierre et Gilles” and their most recent exhibition named “Retroperspective” until October 4th. The worldwide renowned French artist pair creates portraits of pop divas and film icons, sailors and princes, saints and sinners, mythological figures and unknowns in unique hand-painted photographs. Fairy paradises and lowest depths, popular iconography and History of Art - everything is considered in order to achieve an aesthetic perfection and their vision of the world, corresponding to the artists' dreamed reality.
