“We Love Hair” celebrates not only Schwarzkopf’s 111th anniversary, but also the symbol of beauty, temptation, protest and belonging – hair! In its diverse colours, shapes and textures, hair is a fascinating expression of personality and identity, and yet has had little exposure in the world of photography. Karl Lagerfeld presents his take on the term “German hair” using his muse Baptiste Giabiconi in a photo series which takes the observer on a journey through the decades, documenting the transformation of hair fashion. Russell James creates a fairytale, nature-inspired, sensual homage to the female, merging colours and shapes in a mesmerising fashion. Photographer to the stars, Gabo, presents “Morning stars”, showing famous faces in a very private moment – the first thing in the morning! Bed head galore, Gabo has a way of capturing a moment that speaks volumes. Finally, Olaf Hajek documents the intimate connection between hair trends and the small and big revolutions of humanity, from Marie Antoniette to the “blonde revolution”. The exhibition runs from 11th December – 17th December at ›C/O Berlin‹.
